Post # 193 – Are You Prepared For our Upcoming General Conference?

Dear Family and Friends

Can you believe it, Easter is just around the corner and so is our upcoming General Conference? But, before Easter we will have the opportunity to hear God’s words through our living prophet Russell M. Nelson and his Apostles.  We will have the opportunity to receive persona revelation for ourselves and our family members😊
Are you prepared for this upcoming General Conference? 😊
President Russell M. Nelson has said that this conference is going to be unlike any other conference we have attended.
Or something to this effect if those were not his exact words.
So, I am encouraging you to each prepare for this conference😊 bring any questions that you may need answered.

Prepare for Conference
President Russell M. Nelson has said that the April 2020 general conference, which takes place during the year the Church is commemorating the 200th anniversary of the First Vision, “will be different from any previous conference.”

He invited everyone to prepare by studying Joseph Smith’s account of the First Vision,

incorporating the Book of Mormon Videos into their scripture studies

and pondering questions such as

“How would my life be different if my knowledge gained from the Book of Mormon were suddenly taken away?” or

“How have the events that followed the First Vision made a difference for me and my loved ones?” Learn more at hearhim.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

Invite Others
Those of other faiths are welcome to participate in general conference. Church members are encouraged to invite others to watch or listen and to share messages on social media.
Live Viewing Options
All sessions will be streamed live on broadcasts.ChurchofJesusChrist.org. Sessions are also available via the Latter-day Saints Channel, radio, television, satellite, and other digital channels.

To view at a meetinghouse, check with local leaders for availability. For specific times, languages, and rebroadcast information, refer to the Church broadcast schedule

The proceedings will not be broadcast in meetinghouses and stake centers where the spread of illness caused by COVID-19 is of concern. For more information, view the letter from the First Presidency.
Tickets to Live Event
Church leaders are deeply concerned about the global spreading of illness caused by COVID-19.
They have counseled with worldwide governmental, ecclesiastical, and medical leaders and have prayerfully considered the current circumstances.
To help control this contagious illness, the public will not be admitted in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City or in stake centers or meetinghouses in areas where the COVID-19 contagion is a concern.
The First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sent a letter Wednesday, March 11, 2020, to members of the Church worldwide, announcing this significant change to the format of the April 2020 general conference.

Participate and Share via Social Media
To participate in general conference conversations on Twitter, use #GeneralConference or speakers’ recommended hashtags, or simply retweet quotes, videos, and images posted at @ChurchNewsroom. Subscribing to the Apostles’ social media pages is another way to see and share their messages.

Postconference Availability
General conference talks in text, audio, and video formats are provided in multiple channels for studying after conference, including the Gospel Library appYouTube, the general conference section of ChurchofJesusChrist.org, and Church magazines.
